The association of Peruvian students at Stanford, Peruanos en
Stanford, is having a welcome BBQ to start off the year and celebrate
"Dia de la Cancion Criolla", a holiday for Peruvian creole music in

Biomedical Computation at Stanford (BCATS)

A student-organized one-day symposium, BCATS provides an interdisciplinary forum for Stanford students and postdocs to share their latest research in widely ranging fields involving biomedical computation. It also provides opportunities to establish contacts and collaborations across programs. The schedule includes 12 podium presentations and about 50 posters by Stanford students and postdocs. Faculty judges will select the best podium presentations and posters to receive prizes, including a 15'' Apple PowerBook laptop.This symposium features keynote addresses by two pioneering biomedical researchers: Leroy Hood, MD, PhD, founder of the Institute for Systems Biology, and Jeffrey Weiss, PhD, Computational Biomechanist from the University of Utah.More information at http://bcats.stanford.edu.
