Grad Night at the 750 Pub

Thirsty Thursdays: The GSPB will hand out $1 off tickets that may be used
for anything! Each graduate student with a Stanford ID is entitled to two
tickets. Tickets are valid until 9:00 pm, and up to 4 tickets may be
applied to each pitcher. For February 16's Grad Night, tickets to the 2006
Graduate Winter Formal will be on sale!

In addition to the regular menu the following specials are in effect:
- Alcohol: $2 Bud Light and 750 Ale Pints, $8 Bud Light pitchers, $3
mixed/well drinks
- Food: $4 Fries with Burger or Hot Dog (add fountain soda for $1), $3
Garlic Fries, $3 Onion Rings

Graduate Student Formal

Meet other graduate students at the first annual Graduate Student Formal.

Your ticket will provide you with transportation to and from the event, open
bar 10 pm to midnight, appetizers, 3 DJs, and optional dance lessons.

When: Friday, March 3, 9:00 PM to 1:00 AM
Where: Crowne Plaza Cabana, Palo Alto (free shuttles to venue provided)

Cost: $25/ticket if purchased by Friday, February 24, 2006. $30/ticket from
Saturday, February 25, 2006 through Friday, March 3, 2006. Tickets will not
be sold at the event itself. One guest ticket can be purchased with valid
graduate SUID.

Tickets sold at EV office, located at 859 Escondido Road. Hours are 8 am to
8 pm Monday - Thursday, 8 am to 5 pm on Fridays. Only checks and cash will
be accepted. Please make checks payable to Graduate Student Council.

SPECIAL THIS WEEK: Tickets will be on sale at Grad night, this Thursday,
from 8pm to 10 pm at the GCC.

Valentine Champagne & Sparkling Wine Tasting!! - Tuesday, 2/14

Sparkling champagne, soft candlelight, and a fountain of chocolate. We'll
provide the atmosphere - the rest is up to you... What better day than
Valentine's Day to sample a variety of sparkling wines and champagnes?
We'll be tasting sparkling wines from California, Italy, Spain, and France.
There will be a champagne expert on hand to answer questions and give
descriptions of the wines, but the focus of the evening will be on meeting
other people and having a good time while enjoying champagne and some
decadent desserts.

The event is full, but sign up to be on a waitlist (to enter off the
waitlist, you may have to pay a co-pay).
